Scholarships & Grants

The R.O.S.E. Foundation (Recognizing Opportunities in Service and Education Foundation) was founded by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, and awarded over $15,000 in scholarships to students continuing their education in 2020.

Dr. Betty James Robinson Youth Scholarship

The Dr. Betty James Robinson Youth Scholarship is awarded to an African American student who is a graduating high school senior residing in Bucks or Montgomery County, who has maintained a 2.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and who is experiencing financial difficulty. R.O.S.E. Scholar Scholarship 

The R.O.S.E. Scholar Scholarship (Recognizing Opportunities for Service and Education) is awarded to an African American student who is a graduating high school senior residing in Bucks or Montgomery County, who has maintained a 3.2 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and who exemplifies exceptional community service involvement. This scholarship is awarded in conjunction with The R.O.S.E. Foundation. Visit http://therosefdn.org/#community to apply.

Second Chance College Scholarship

The Second Chance College Scholarship is awarded to an African American student who resides in Bucks or Montgomery County. The student must be currently enrolled and has completed at least one semester of college. The student must be at least 21 years of age and hold a 2.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. HBCU (Historically Black College or University) Youth Scholarship

The HBCU (Historically Black College or University) Youth Scholarship will be awarded annually to an African American high school senior residing in Bucks or Montgomery County with a minimum 2.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale who is planning to enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited Historically Black College or University in the fall directly after graduation from high school who is in financial need. Dr. Wanda Lewis-Campbell Education and Leadership Grant Application 2020

The Dr. Wanda Lewis-Campbell Education and Leadership Grant Application 2020 is awarded to individuals or organizations who have made significant and sustainable changes in education and cultural systems. The organization’s goal should be to strengthen educational leadership through enhancement of student achievement and participation in the arts and culture.

Community grants are awarded based on the recommendations of members. If you feel your organization would meet the criteria, we encourage you to submit an application for consideration.
